AI Competition Overview
Core Vision
The DFWIT AI Competition serves as a strategic launchpad to realize DFWIT’s mission, vision, and strategic pillars. It brings together professionals, college students, and high school innovators who seek to apply their skills, explore real-world impact, and grow through mentorship and community.
AI Competition Team Criteria (2025)
- Team Composition: 3–5 individuals per team, with one designated team lead and at least one technical contributor.
- Registration Fee: A small fee of $20 will be charged for this year’s competition (General members and others).
The fee will be waived for our
Premium members,
volunteers, and
sponsors and donors. - The registration fee will also be waived to the first 50 members. Participants who signed up already within this group will be refunded with $20.
- Project Scope: Must align with one of DFWIT’s strategic pillars — e.g., AI for human-centered deeds with safe, secure, and positive impacts.
- Commitment: Willingness to participate in program-defined touchpoints, Expert Review sessions, and Final Judging Day.
- Innovation: Problem must be real and the solution must leverage AI in a purposeful, innovative way.
- Mentorship Engagement: Teams are expected to engage with assigned mentors throughout the competition.
- Submission Requirements: A 1-minute video, pitch deck, and a brief problem-solution-impact summary must be submitted by the final deadline.
